YAH ROOTZ is my first business. Coming up on graduation, I wanted to avoid taking the typical path of getting a job and working for the USDA or FDA like many of my classmates. My eyes were opened to some of the practices and things going on in the system, and thus YAH ROOTZ was created.

YAH ROOTZ has been around going on nine years. 50+ home gardens have been built, including orchards, and a corporate sustainability garden. Children's garden educational classes, garden coaching, garden design, and school assemblies are services that are offered. Bringing fresh, nutrient-dense food to people's immediate environment has been the mission from the start.
